This week, the Buro Must-Have list shines the spotlight on Adidas’ Superstar roller skates. The adidas Superstar is a cultural legend that’s graced the feet of creatives, athletes, and trendsetters for over five decades. From dominating the basketball courts in the ’70s (with 75% of pro players rocking them) to being embraced by hip-hop icons like Run DMC in the ’80s and ’90s, this iconic shoe has always been at the forefront of cool. By the 2000s, streetwear enthusiasts took the baton, flaunting collaborations with brands like BAPE, UNION LA, and NEIGHBORHOOD. But one group has never had the honor of lacing up a pair — roller skaters — until now.

Leaked images from House of Heat reveal adidas’ latest twist on the Superstar: a high-top roller skate. These new kicks come fully equipped with wheels, offering the same beloved leather upper, shell toe, and Three Stripes details. Available in bold black, shiny metallic silver, and vibrant magenta, they also sport four all-black wheels, branded with the adidas logo. While the official release date hasn’t been confirmed, we’re rolling into 2025 with anticipation for these skates to drop.
