However, when Audemars Piguet‘s launched its Code 11.59 collection last year, the house blended its age-old craftsmanship with innovative design by launching timepieces in a series of appealing new hues.
A year following the launch of the inaugural Code 11.59 collection, the timepieces do more than just tell time. Savoir-faire, functionality and brilliant new colours have intertwined to make up Audemars Piguet’s Code 11.59 watches, each reflecting the house’s uncompromising spirit.
Designed for both men and women, the colourful new iterations — think blue, burgundy, purple, as well as light and dark grey — are equipped with Audemars Piguet’s new generation of Selfwinding and Selfwinding Chronograph movements, powered by the latest mechanisms.
The Selfwinding models are powered by calibre 4302, an automatic movement with second and instant-jump date indication, whilst the Selfwinding Chronograph is run by calibre 4401, which allows you to restart the chronograph without stopping and resetting it first.
These two calibres prove Audemars Piguet’s leading strengths in fine watchmaking tradition with refined hand-finishing techniques.
The collection also introduces four models that come adorned in refined two-tone cases. Considered to be extremely rare to the house of Audemars Piguet, two Selfwinding and two Selfwinding Chronograph models are presented with distinctive two-tone gold cases and dials in shades of grey.
Echoing luxury in every form, the combination of the 18-carat white and pink gold (the blend of the two is particularly rare with only one wristwatch recorded in Audemars Piguet’s archives before 1978) illuminates elegance and brings depth to the Code 11.59 timepieces.
These new models front the case’s multifaceted architecture and high-end hand-finishing techniques.
