Eid Al-Fitr is mere days away from beginning and whilst celebrations may look a little different this year, there’s no harm in giving back and by the looks of it, Messika follows suit.
To celebrate those less fortunate and in the spirit of giving back, Messika and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons have partnered up with the Tarahum Foundation (a UAE Charity) to help 100 families celebrate the closing of Ramadan with the customary Kiswat Al Eid — an initiative that provides clothes and essentials to those that have been affected by the current pandemic in the UAE.
“The pandemic has provided a lot of time for reflection and put many things into perspective globally,” says Valerie Messika. “It has always been important for Messika to give back to the community and Eid feels like the right opportunity to help those in need during this period of time, as it is a period of revival. I am honoured to be contributing to such a great initiative by the Tarahum Charity Foundation and though I cannot visit my beloved Middle East at the moment, I am thinking of the people there and wishing them an Eid Mubarak.”
