New York’s ClassPass is coming to Dubai

No more excuses
One of New York's biggest fitness networks is coming to Dubai next month. Here's what you need to know...

We’re spoiled for choice in Dubai when it comes to fitness — we have some of the world’s top fitness studios on our doorstep (F45, Barry’s Bootcamp, Define and Physique 57 are just some of the options) as well as plenty of beautiful outdoor spaces in which to exercise when the weather is nice. However if you’re looking to switch up your routine, then the introduction of New York-based fitness app ClassPass will help you do just that.

The fitness app will roll out in Dubai next month, and if you sign up to the waitlist (which is live now), you’ll receive an entire month’s membership for free. The app will offer access to a variety of the city’s top fitness studios across yoga, barre, running, CrossFit, boxing and more.

Speaking to The National about the app’s pricing structure (which is yet to be announced), Fritz Lanman, the CEO of ClassPass explained that it will be a credits-based model. “This provides users with flexibility to suit their fitness needs no matter their budget. Classes are dynamically priced based on several factors, including time of day, studio, location, equipment and demand. This allows members to get more classes a month if they book off-peak class time or the option to book higher credit, in-demand classes.”

Plus, you’ll be able top put your membership on hold if you’re going away — however depending on your destination city, if ClassPass operates there you can your membership to attend a class. Considering it operates in more than 50 cities across the US, Canada, Singapore, the UK and Australia, you can take this thing global.
