At the Musée Rodin in Paris, Dior‘s black and white mirrored checkerboard welcomed the star-studded fash pack to witness the unveiling of the maison’s newest highly anticipated haute couture collection.
In a curated dome that perfectly encapsulated the Spring/Summer ’18 collection, the haute couture show set was filled with stunning surrealistic body part suspensions, stiff drapes and a graphic checkerboard floor — all complete in a black-and-white colour palette.
Opening the show was Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chiuri‘s favourite, Ruth Bell, who was dressed in an all-black ensemble. The model has walked the designer’s previous runways and fronted several of the maison’s campaigns.
On the runway, the haute couture collection saw monochrome gowns, free-flowing silhouettes that showcased the maison’s traditional savoire-faire, strong overcoats, powerful pantsuits and many other beautiful creations. On the beauty front, Peter Philips‘ makeup looks were strikingly simple, and several models walked the runway with Insta-worthy masks.
