VIVIENNE WESTWOOD MAKES HER MIDDLE EAST RUNWAY DEBUT, AND SHE’S DOING IT UNDER THE SAUDI SUN.

Fashion royalty has officially landed in the desert, and she’s making history. For the first time ever, Vivienne Westwood is bringing her rebellious British flair to the Middle East, kicking off Riyadh Fashion Week 2025 with a runway that’s as unexpected as it is iconic.

Set against the backdrop of a Palm Grove in Riyadh, the show celebrates more than just couture, it honors Saudi Arabia’s deep-rooted connection to the land. The palm tree, a national emblem of life, resilience, and prosperity, sets the tone for what promises to be one of the most talked-about fashion moments of the year.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting our first-ever show in the Middle East,” says Carlo D’Amario, CEO of Vivienne Westwood. “We’re creating a collection that merges our couture team’s expertise with the craftsmanship of Saudi artisans — a true meeting of worlds. Fashion today isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about connecting cultures.”

And connect they will. The show will spotlight embroidered gowns, the product of an inspired collaboration between Vivienne Westwood’s couture atelier and the Art of Heritage, a Saudi cultural institution dedicated to preserving traditional craftsmanship. Each gown is a love letter to heritage, intricately hand-embroidered by local artisans, blending British punk legacy with Arabian artistry.

But Westwood isn’t stopping at the runway. In true trailblazing fashion, the brand is inviting 100 fashion students from local schools to attend the show, complete with a mentoring session before the event, because the future of fashion deserves a front-row seat.

Expect a spectacular mix of Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2026 looks, archival masterpieces, and Saudi-made exclusives, proof that when East meets Westwood, fashion magic happens.

🔥 From the streets of London to the sands of Riyadh, the Queen of Punk just found her desert crown.
