I would say understated glam. But if I were to create something inspired by Dubai, I’d probably focus on the fabric rather than a print. Dubai evokes sophistication, and when I think of glamour, I immediately think of black—I always wear black.
That said, for eveningwear and special occasions, white can be just as striking. So, I’d envision something in black or white, elevated with a touch of sparkle. Not a print, but rather a bold statement through color and texture.

It feels incredible. I feel extremely lucky because the fashion industry is highly competitive, and being stocked at Harvey Nichols—a name that represents luxury and prestige—is a true privilege.

I would love to spend more time in Dubai to truly understand the market. But even in just two days, I’ve observed such a fascinating mix of styles.
For example, I had lunch by the beach, where the fashion was effortless and relaxed. Then, at the mall, I saw a completely different type of woman—more polished, refined, and elegant. These contrasts are so important for me to take in as inspiration.
For me, my collections always begin with the woman. Being here and seeing how women in Dubai express their style firsthand is invaluable when thinking about future designs.

When building a luxury wardrobe, my advice is simple—follow your instincts. When you see a piece and instantly think, this is me, that’s the one. Don’t overthink it. The best wardrobe staples are the ones you gravitate toward naturally.
For an Alessandra Rich piece, I would recommend a pleated silk dress—it’s timeless and effortlessly elegant. Or something with polka dots. We reinvent our polka dot prints every season, playing with different sizes, placements, and patterns. It’s such a classic yet versatile motif that never goes out of style.

I have clients who still wear Alessandra Rich designs from 10 or even 15 years ago. Fashion should be about investing in pieces you truly love—pieces that remain beautiful year after year.
