Since its debut in 2016, the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize has been a beacon of creativity, honoring artisans who redefine modern craft with their unparalleled skill and vision. Open to craftsmen and women over 18 across all craft-based disciplines, this prestigious award, conceived by LOEWE’s creative director Jonathan Anderson, celebrates the enduring relevance of craftsmanship in contemporary culture.
With a grand prize of 50,000 euros and two special mentions each receiving 5,000 euros, this prize not only recognizes artistic excellence but also champions innovation and artistic integrity. The award pays homage to LOEWE’s origins as a craft workshop established in 1846. An esteemed panel of artists, essayists, and curators will meticulously review submissions, selecting up to 30 finalists whose works will be showcased at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum. From this esteemed exhibition, the jury will crown the winner during a gala ceremony in spring 2025.
