Bridgerton is back, and so are its extravagant costumes.
Bridgerton Season 3
From dramatic silhouettes, evolving styles, to intricate hairdos, here's a breakdown of Bridgeton season three's best fashion and beauty.

Last week, the highly-anticipated third season of Bridgerton–well, half of it, to be precise–landed on Netflix worldwide. Having binged the released first four episodes in a single setting, the Regency-era drama has left us wanting more. Since the remaining episodes of Bridgerton season 3 won’t be available to stream before June 13, we are focussing on the meticulously planned costumes and elaborate hairdos that the characters have flaunted so far.

Scroll down to discover our favorite fashion and beauty moments from Bridgerton season 3.

PENELOPE FEATHERINGTON’S FRESH AESTHETIC

In previous seasons, Penelope Featherington was spotted at balls and society events dressed in loud, almost gaudy empire line dresses, walking alongside her Bridgerton best friend, who often sported muted colors. That was until Bridgerton season 3 hit our screens. This season, Penelope’s character has steered away from her signature flower-adorned yellows and golds for a more understated aesthetic. The shift was evident from the subtle color palette consisting of shades of blue, green, and even soft pink to the elegant surface ornamentation that graced her wardrobe in the Bridgerton season 3.

CRESSIDA COWPER’S DRAMATIC SLEEVES

This season, Cressida Cowper let her sleeves do the talking. For someone whose wardrobe allowance was cut by half by her father, Cressida sure managed to make a statement. From fringe-adorned puffed sleeves to voluminous flowers gracing her shoulders, Cressida’s wardrobe came with a heavy dose of drama.

FRANCESCA BRIDGERTON’S SOFT ELEGANCE

We must confess: Francesca Bridgerton’s wardrobe lives in our heads rent-free. Reminding us of her older sister Daphne from season 1, Francesca’s understated yet opulent looks were undoubtedly a visual feast.

THE QUEEN’S INTRICATE HAIRDO

Bridgerton Season 3

One can’t really discuss Bridgerton season 3 without mentioning Queen Charlotte’s Swan wig. In the fourth episode, the Queen is spotted in a towering wig that features hollowed-out spaces displaying glass swans circling a nature scene. Bridgerton fans first spotted this extravagant hairpiece in a promo clip released in April and were astounded. The concept of the swan wig was a dream of hair and makeup artist Erika Ökvist since the early planning stages of Season 2. Given that clockwork mechanisms existed as early as the 1200s, she believed it was feasible to have moving swans in a wig set in the 1820s, the era of Bridgerton.

ELOISE BRIDGERTON’S FEMININE STYLE

After sporting high-necked collared dresses and jackets in the first two seasons, we can finally see Eloise Bridgerton embracing her feminine side in Bridgerton season 3. From delicately embroidered gowns to sophisticated coats, Eloise’s style has definitely evolved into a more romantic aesthetic this season.
