Women of the region come together for Nike’s new campaign, ‘You Can’t Stop Us’

Nike's latest installment of its "You Can't Stop Us" campaign is made by women, for women in the Middle East...

Coinciding with the fourth edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Nike launched a captivating new campaign that celebrates the unbreakable spirit of female athletes in the region starring Zainab Al Eqabi (amputee and everyday athlete), Sarra Lajnef (Olympic Swimmer, Nike Swim Coach, Rower and Triathlete), Maha Al Ameri (UAE National Rower) and Manal Rostom (Founder of Surviving Hijab & Nike running coach and triathlete).

Titled “You Can’t Stop Us”, the inspirational film is almost like a tallying cry for women across the region to tap into power of sport as the female athletes share their story on how they forged their very own success stories in the world of sport.

“I would love for every girl to realize that hijab places no limitations on her dreams whether it’s inside the water or outside — if that’s how she wishes to exercise her faith,” says Manal Rostom. “There is something so magical and liberating about being in and near the water. Every woman deserves the right to experience that feeling whether in a hijab or not. Let there be no limits on what women can do with their bodies just because they choose to cover them. Nike is one of the brands that has championed this inclusivity model and I am so proud to be sending this powerful message to females across the Middle East.”

The film also portrays a powerful message of women as it depicts a mother’s swimming lesson, regardless of her age, skill-level or your chosen sport. It’s about your determination that will make you unstoppable.

The campaign also includes a 30-day calendar of events including a virtual WhatsApp training hub, livestreamed training sessions and a swimming clinic for women. To download the NTC App, please click here.
