The house of CHANEL and the King of the Jungle share a special connection. Born under the sign of Leo, Mademoiselle CHANEL believed it to be a symbol of protection and courage. However, it wasn’t until 2012 that the lion made its debut in the scintillating universe of CHANEL High Jewelry. For the very first time, the lion assumed a bedazzled avatar as a part of the CHANEL ‘Constellation du Lion’ necklace – a masterpiece preserved in the Maison’s High Jewelry Patrimoine. Shortly after, the 2013 ‘Sous le Signe du Lion’ High Jewelry collection and the 2018 ‘L’esprit du Lion’ High Jewelry collection were entirely dedicated to it.
Now, the Maison has cast the spotlight on the exquisite creature yet again as it assumes the central role in the new CHANEL High Jewelry collection. Aptly titled ‘Lion Solaire de CHANEL,’ the collection features five lion-adorned pieces. The lion sits proudly on the necklace, two rings, and two pairs of earrings in the ‘Lion Solaire de CHANEL’ collection. Its striking mane is set with pear-shaped motifs and marquise-cut motifs, paved or set with diamonds.
