When two of music’s biggest watch collectors, Ed Sheeran and John Mayer, fall for the same timepiece, you know it’s something special. Meet the Vanguart Orb, the latest creation from the independent Swiss brand redefining Haute Horlogerie with futuristic flair and obsessive craftsmanship.
Sleek, symmetrical, and quietly radical, the Orb houses a new flying tourbillon movement that lets wearers switch between automatic and manual winding modes. In automatic mode, a diamond-set orbital mass whirls gracefully around its titanium track, giving the illusion of a miniature planet in motion.
Every surface of the 10.5 mm-thin case has been hand-decorated using sandblasting, satin-finishing, and mirror polishing, a rare level of artistry even among elite watchmakers.
Vanguart’s Creative Director Thierry Fischer describes it as “a relic of the past and a vision of the future,” and that duality defines the brand’s appeal. The Orb is a wearable sculpture that bridges heritage and high-tech, tradition and bold design. No wonder Sheeran and Mayer are already orbiting around it!
