Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has teamed up once again with American contemporary artist Daniel Arsham to unveil the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire, a wearable sculpture where art meets haute horology. Following the transformable MP-16 Arsham Droplet, this latest creation channels the fluidity of water through its organic, splash-inspired design.
Arsham, renowned for his “fictional archaeology” vision, collapses past and future, reimagining everyday objects as timeless artifacts. Here, his first wristwatch for Hublot comes alive in a compact 42mm sapphire and titanium case that reveals the in-house manual Meca-10 movement through a striking splash-shaped dial opening and transparent caseback. Frosted sapphire, titanium, and rubber converge seamlessly, emphasizing Hublot’s Art of Fusion while sculpting a form that feels both liquid and precise.
Signature Hublot elements remain, the six H-screws, H-shaped folding clasp, and distinctive lugs, while Arsham’s green accents on hands and markers add a contemporary artistic touch. Limited to just 99 pieces, the MP-17 Splash invites collectors and art lovers alike to experience time as fluid, suspended, and alive: A true intersection of craftsmanship, innovation, and visionary design.
Hublot CEO Julien Tornare calls it “a new chapter in blending art with fine watchmaking,” while Arsham describes it as “clarity and motion, suspended in flux.”
