Coming in hot on the heels of the Golden Globes, the 2024 Critics Choice Awards rolled out the red carpet (yet again) for the Who’s Who of Hollywood and beyond. As celebrities followed one another to face the cameras, one thing was evident: bows and rosettes refused to be ignored. From Margot Robbie‘s intricately embellished red Balmain dress (a nod to 1996’s “Radiant Rose” Barbie), Rosamund Pike and Emily Blunt‘s shimmering rosette-adorned Rodarte and Armani Privé gowns to Danielle Brooks, Reese Witherspoon, Aja Naomi King, and Camila Moronne‘s bow dresses, hyper-feminine embellishments were the highlight of the red carpet.
While red and black stood out as the preferred colors of the night, we did spot some pastels. Billie Eilish and Maria Bello brought the humble white shirt to the 2024 Critics Choice Awards red carpet. Dua Lipa, on the other hand, opted for a textured burgundy strapless gown that matched her current hair dye.
