Riyadh’s fashion revolution isn’t slowing down; it is gaining momentum, and it is doing so swiftly. Backed by the Saudi Fashion Commission, the Kingdom’s runway is pointed firmly towards the future, shaping Riyadh into one of the most promising fashion capitals in the region. Since its inception in 2020, the Saudi Fashion Commission has gone from promising newcomer to power player, flipping old narratives about Middle Eastern style and planting Riyadh firmly on the global fashion map. Now, it’s back with another bold move: the second edition of the Saudi Fashion Awards, landing in the capital on May 22.
The Awards aim to recognize standout talent across the sector — from designers and stylists to photographers and models — and position Saudi Arabia as a growing player in the global fashion scene. This year’s edition introduces new categories, particularly in beauty, signaling the Commission’s commitment to covering the full scope of creative talent shaping the industry.
Key award categories include:
- Fashion Stylist of the Year
- Menswear Brand of the Year
- Womenswear Brand of the Year
- Jewelry Brand of the Year
- Elite Model Honorary Award: Model of the Year
- Four international awards supported by WWD, recognizing innovation in design and beauty
A panel of respected judges from across the fashion world will select the winners. Notable names include celebrity stylist Law Roach, WWD CEO Amanda Smith, Chalhoub Group’s Mohammed Aldabbageh, and Burak Çakmak, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Commission, among others.
