Pre-Fall parade: Dior, Versace and Givenchy all present new season collections

'Tis the season
Over the weekend, Dior Homme and Versace showcased their Pre-Fall '19 collections across the globe whilst Givenchy released its new collection's lookbook. Take a look here...

Just last week, Valentino took its Pre-Fall ’19 collection show to Tokyo and Dior Homme followed suit over the weekend and presented Kim Jones‘ first Pre-Fall ’19 show for the maison at Tokyo Bay.

A juxtaposition between the past and the future, the brand’s Creative Director blended traditional men’s tailoring with a futuristic colour palette and technology. The menswear collection was showcased in a super cool setup by Alessandro Garofalo (which began its construction in mid-September) and similar to Jones’ debut show during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, featured a robot centrepiece that was 11 metres tall.

Whilst Dior Homme presented its collections in Tokyo, Donatella Versace took the fash pack to New York to present her latest Pre-Fall ’19 collection. Marking the brand’s inaugural Pre-Fall show, there were celebrities on and off the runway.

Digging into the house archive’s for the Versace show, models including Kaia Gerber, Amber Valletta, Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin (now Hailey Beiber), Nora Attal and Irina Shayk, walked the runway dressed in signature baroque prints, animal stamps, lots of leather and ‘I [heart] NY’ tees.

Over the weekend, Givenchy also released the first images of Clare Waight Keller‘s Pre-Fall ’19 collection.

Whilst looking towards a Joseph Cambell classic, The Power of Myth, for inspiration, the royal-favourite designer created a women’s wardrobe filled with our next season’s staples. With long and lean tailored silhouettes, the Pre-Fall ’19 collection also featured a slew of monochrome evening gowns, oversized knits, fake furs, sleeveless tunics and flowy dresses.
