Earlier this year, Fashion Trust Arabia canceled its annual awards ceremony in light of the crisis in Palestine. Instead, the organization pivoted to a two-day online deliberation on December 12 and 13, where the 23 finalists across six categories presented their collections to the judges. The virtual gathering, held on Zoom, unfolded in the presence of co-chair HE Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani and Tania Fares, alongside an illustrious panel of judges and advisory board members, including influential figures like Ruba Abu-Nimah, Yoon Ahn, Imran Amed, Gilda Ambrosio, Giorgia Tordini, Zuhair Murad, Sasa Thomann, Giambattista Valli and numerous other industry luminaries. The online platform allowed for a celebration of creativity and talent from the MENA region while acknowledging the complex geopolitical backdrop that influenced the event’s format.
After careful evaluation, the Fashion Trust Arabia 2023 winners were announced yesterday.
