Inclusive fashion is officially on its way to becoming mainstream, and this latest collaboration is proof.
All-size champions Universal Standard has teamed up with Rodarte on an exclusive capsule collection of pieces, available from size 00 to 40. *Insert 10000x clapping emojis*.
The brand has previously teamed up with J. Crew and Goop on capsules, but working with Laura and Kate Mulleavy marks the first time it has tapped a luxury label. Plus, this is only the second-ever high street collection Rodarte has designed following its Target collection in 2009.
The collection is comprised of a long-sleeve blouse, skirt, full-length jumpsuit and dress, each of which is aesthetically Rodarte — think bows, ruffles and a feminine colour palette.

Alexandra Waldman, the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Universal Standard, spoke to Fashionista about the collection, saying, “It took a little bit of time to work everything out because obviously we wanted to use our micro-grading to make sure it fit all women across the entire 00-40 size range; the designs are purely [Kate and Laura’s], as are the colour choices. It’s very different from Universal Standard and it’s one of those things that we’re delighted to bring to our consumer.”
