In 2021, Phoebe Philo announced her return to fashion with a collection set to drop in January 2022 but since we never heard back, we’ve been wondering if she changed her mind. In fact, with so much time had passed, rumours began to swirl around that she could be leading Burberry. Is she designing for Loro Piana? Maybe even head to Alaia? So many questions, yet left with no hope.
However, our prayers have finally been answered. The acclaimed British designer has revealed that she will unveil her long-awaited signature brand in September – so close yet so far.
Overnight the designer announced on her Instagram that her much-awaited “inaugural collection will be revealed and available on our website, phoebephilo.com, in September 2023.” Although no additional details were provided, we may be seeing a see-now-buy-now collection whereby we can shop directly from her new website.

The fashion industry has seen its fair game of musical chairs over the last couple of years but only a few designers have really had a large impact on modern fashion. During her creative tenure at Celine (2008-2018), “philophiles” became a thing as we became obsessed with her minimalist and effortless approach to clothing. And we can’t wait to see what she pulls off in September.
All we have to say is, Phoebe, please take all our money now…
