LEBANON JUST SCORED A MAJOR FASHION POWER MOVE WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FÉDERATION LIBANAISE DE LA MODE.

Lebanese fashion has officially leveled up.
Lebanon has always been a creative powerhouse, but the industry has been running on raw talent, personal hustle, and individual success stories. Now, with the backing of an official federation, there’s an infrastructure to support and amplify that talent, giving designers the resources and global reach they deserve.

Lebanon has always been a creative powerhouse, but the industry has been running on raw talent, personal hustle, and individual success stories. Now, with the backing of an official federation, there’s an infrastructure to support and amplify that talent, giving designers the resources and global reach they deserve.

Lebanon has never been a spectator in the world of fashion. This is the country that gave us Elie Saab’s red-carpet royalty, Zuhair Murad’s dazzling couture, and Rabih Kayrouz’s effortless elegance. Lebanese designers have long dominated global runways, yet until now, the country never had an official fashion federation to unify and elevate its industry on a grand scale. Well, that just changed.

In a groundbreaking move, the Arab Fashion Council and Lebanon’s Ministry of Economy and Trade have teamed up to launch the Fédération Libanaise de la Mode—Lebanon’s first-ever official fashion body. It’s a serious power play designed to push Lebanese fashion into the global limelight, creating game-changing opportunities for homegrown designers, attracting international investment, and positioning Lebanon as a true fashion capital.

Think of the Fédération Libanaise de la Mode as Lebanon’s official stamp on the fashion world. Its mission? To spotlight Lebanese talent on an international level while safeguarding the country’s rich cultural heritage. The initiative will fuel innovation, open doors for designers to expand globally, and—perhaps most crucially—inject much-needed economic momentum into Lebanon’s creative industries.

Jacob Abrian, CEO of the Arab Fashion Council, put it best, “Lebanon has long been an epicenter of creativity and inspiration in the region. With this Federation, we are safeguarding that legacy while propelling Lebanese designers onto the global stage.”

His Excellency Amine Salam, Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade, emphasized that this initiative will empower designers to achieve international acclaim while driving economic growth. This means more job opportunities, strongerindustry infrastructure, and an influx of global partnerships.

And speaking of partnerships, Mohammed Aqra, Chief Strategy Officer of the Arab Fashion Council, highlighted that the Federation will serve as a magnet for global investors and Fortune 500 companies. This isn’t just about pretty dresses and couture gowns; it’s about real business. A strong Lebanese fashion sector means more exports, moreinternational collaborations, and a more resilient economy.

The Fédération Libanaise de la Mode will soon reveal its board members and strategic agenda in a highly anticipated event in Beirut. Expect major names, bold initiatives, and a roadmap that cements Lebanon’s status as a key player in the fashion world.
