Earlier this year, Jonathan Anderson exited Loewe after a triumphant eleven-year-long tenure. Before the news of his departure even broke, the fashion industry was swirling with whispers of a possible move to Dior Homme, the top position of which was vacant after Kim Jones stepped down from his role at the helm. In April 2025, Dior finally confirmed the appointment of Anderson as the Creative Director of menswear at the storied French Maison. While the move left fashion insiders mourning the end of the Anderson era at Loewe, it also sparked eager anticipation about the creative direction Anderson would bring to Dior.
Just last week, following the Dior Cruise 2026 show in Rome, the brand revealed that Maria Grazia Chiuri would be stepping down from her role as Creative Director of womenswear and Haute Couture, opening the door to yet another major leadership change. While speculation ran rife about who might fill the coveted position, Dior had already made its decision. This morning, the Maison confirmed Jonathan Anderson as the sole Creative Director overseeing womenswear, menswear, and Haute Couture, signaling a new chapter for Dior under his unified vision.
“It is a great honor to join the House of Dior as Creative Director of both women’s and men’s collections. I have always been inspired by the rich history of this House, its depth, and empathy. I look forward to working alongside its legendary Ateliers to craft the next chapter of this incredible story. I would like
to express my sincere thanks to Bernard Arnault and Delphine Arnault for their trust and loyalty over the years,” Anderson stated via Instagram.
As for his debut show? The Dior Men’s Summer 2026 collection will mark Anderson’s premiere range for Dior with a show scheduled for June 27, 2025.
