AND JUST LIKE THAT, SARAH JESSICA PARKER’S FOOTWEAR LABEL IS SHUTTING DOWN.

Get yourself a pair before it's gone forever.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Whether you're an avid SJP shopper or have the brand on your wishlist, this might be your last chance to grab a pair.

Thanks to her onscreen persona, Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker has become synonymous with all things fashion, particularly shoes. It was only fitting then for the Sex and the City actress to start her own shoe line, and that she did. It was in 2014 that she launched her namesake shoe brand, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker, allowing women the world over to essentially own a slice of Carrie Bradshaw’s closet. Now, after a decade of being in the shoe business, Parker is drawing the curtain on her eponymous label.

The news, which first appeared quietly in fashion circles, marks the end of a partnership that began in 2013 between Parker and George Malkemus III, the man credited with making Manolo Blahnik a household name in the United States. Malkemus, who passed away in 2021, was instrumental in turning Parker’s vision of chic, feminine footwear into a reality. Together, they created a collection that celebrated bold colors, sleek designs, and a sense of playful sophistication. The shoes quickly became a favorite among fans of Parker’s onscreen alter ego, Carrie, who famously declared her love for designer heels.

However, despite the brand’s initial success and a loyal customer base, the decision to shutter SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker wasn’t easy. The team expressed heartfelt gratitude to their customers and collaborators, thanking them for a decade of support.

For those still craving a piece of SJP’s shoe legacy, there’s a final chance to snag a pair before the brand officially closes shop. The store on Manhattan’s Bleecker Street will be open until August 25, offering a 25% discount on the remaining stock—though even on sale, these coveted heels still come with a luxury price tag.

As Parker bids farewell to her shoe line, she continues to juggle other ventures. Meanwhile, she’s also back on set, filming the third season of “And Just Like That…”—the show that keeps the spirit of Carrie Bradshaw alive, even as her real-life counterpart says goodbye to the shoes that defined an era.
