A TALE OF TWO CITIES: CHANEL’S FASHION JOURNEY FROM RUE CAMBON TO HANGZHOU.

CHANEL’s latest Métiers d’art campaign is a poetic voyage that bridges continents, eras, and imagination. The 2024/25 collection begins at 31 rue Cambon, Gabrielle Chanel’s storied Paris apartment, and unfolds before a Coromandel screen depicting West Lake in Hangzhou, China. It’s here, amidst the lake’s ethereal dusk, that the December 2024 show and Mikael Jansson’s dreamy visuals were born.

Ambassadors Tilda Swinton, Liu Wen, and model Lulu Tenney embody this East-meets-West vision. The collection pays tribute to CHANEL’s celebrated artisanal partners—Lesage, Lemarié, Lognon, Montex, and others—through sculptural pleats, intricate embroidery, and constellation-inspired jewelry.

Mystery permeates the collection, with Liu Wen dazzling in a pleated black satin dress and ruffled collar, while velvet lace blooms and satin blouses hint at sensual elegance. Accessories, from shimmering Goossens necklaces to Lemarié camellias, evoke starlit skies.

Morning mist tones arrive in flowing pleated silks, and monochrome traveler motifs appear on tweeds, knits, and striking black-and-white cardigans. Finishing touches include glossy leather boots and quilted travel bags, including a sparkling black tweed CHANEL 25.

With this campaign, CHANEL invites us into a moving, mystical tale stitched between dream and design.
