Moncler is back with its Genius game, and this time, it’s taking over Shanghai. The brand’s much-hyped ‘City of Genius’ event is about to close out Shanghai Fashion Week in grand style, and it’s not just another fashion show—it’s an entire experience. The questions Moncler’s posing this season? How do you live Genius? Are we born Genius? How do you create Genius? It’s a bold ask, and the lineup of creative powerhouses they’ve assembled is just as daring.
Following the electrifying London takeover last year with icons like Pharrell Williams and Rick Owens, Moncler is pulling out all the stops for Shanghai. The stage is set with an impressive 30,000-square-meter venue, where Moncler’s Genius initiative will come to life, featuring a fresh set of global tastemakers. Headlining the event are talents like Donald Glover, A$AP Rocky, and Willow Smith, each bringing their own signature spin to Moncler’s world.
The collaborations are stacked with trailblazers across industries. NIGO, fresh from his role at Kenzo, will showcase his collection with Mercedes-Benz, while Hiroshi Fujiwara is returning with another installment of his Frgmt line. Chinese multidisciplinary artist LuLu Li and Rick Owens are also part of the lineup. The design duo Luke and Lucie Meier, the minds behind Jil Sander, will also be presenting an independent collection.
In addition to these global heavyweights, the event will feature local talents like Leah Dou, Wing Shya, and Xu Bing, who are set to embody Moncler’s “Live Genius” ethos in the fast-paced, culturally rich backdrop of Shanghai.
