Once upon a ‘John Galliano’ reign at the house of Dior, the Saddle Bag was born in the late ’90s. What debuted on the catwalk for Spring 2000 for women is also today a must-have staple for men.
Today, Carrie Bradshaw’s best friend (and ours too!) is graced with Oblique Toile Jacquard and enriched with ruthenium-coloured lurex threads to embellish the Dior Spring 2023 Men’s collection. This new material is adorned with metallic highlights and illuminates the Dior Saddle Lingot and Dior Gallop bags, as well as small leather goods and the iconic B23 and B27 sneakers.
It all happened when Kim Jones redesigned the Dior Saddle in 2019 with his first men’s collection and transformed it into a shoulder bag – now becoming a staple for the brand. With its magnetic envelope flap, this icon continues to impress, season after season, with its concealed zipper pocket.
