2017 was a big year for Off-White‘s Virgil Abloh. The man behind the brand delivered a lecture at Harvard University, shared his story with System Magazine — Buro 24/7’s editorial partners — awarded the Urban Luxe Award at The Fashion Awards 2017, and announced a retrospective at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art set for 2019.
Now, the name to know in fashion turned his signature streetwear styles into a more structured and tailored direction for Fall/Winter ’18.
Showcased during Men’s Paris Fashion Week, Abloh’s autumnal collection aptly titled Business Casual, explored a new realm of the designer’s creative process. On display were twisted sweatshirts, sleek trousers, leather suits, double-breasted jackets and printed sweaters.
Abloh also teased the front row fash pack with the Virgil Abloh x Nike Air Jordan 1 collection in an all-white colourway. Along with those iconic sneakers we’ve been spotting during several street style edits, the F/W’18 collection is a pure blend of streetwear and sartorial silhouettes.
