Buro. Middle East can exclusively reveal that luxury men’s e-commerce site, Mr Porter, has teamed up with Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White to create an exclusive capsule collection that is only available for sale on the platform.
Called “Modern Office”, the collection is comprised of 44 pieces including 20 ready-to-wear items, 18 accessories and six pairs of footwear. Crafted in the streetwear brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic, staples including a trench coat, logo T-shirts, leather sneakers, belts and an iPhone X case are up for grabs. The collection is described as “a revisionist dress code of traditional and modern sportswear, inspired by a new generation of workers and their work places.”
In an exclusive interview, Abloh said the collection appeals to the Off-White customer who he described as reaching “many different personas. It’s that young guy at the skate park, it’s the businessman, the artist. I can describe him as youthful or possesses open-mindedness of the youth — a product of the future.” Though he notes, “Modern Office harmonises classic business attire with streetwear, making the collection its own special entity that the youth and older generations can both understand.”
