Lyst has unveiled the hottest brands and products of the first quarter of 2025.

Creative directors are shuffling places, archive pieces are in, and luxury no longer has a monopoly on hype. The Q1 Lyst Index makes it clear: shoppers are watching closely, reacting faster, and driving the narrative like never before.

Every quarter, Lyst drops its much-anticipated Index of the Hottest Brands & Products and with it, the industry pays attention. Created by Lyst, the world’s leading fashion shopping platform, the Index ranks the hottest brands and products based on the behavior of over 160 million shoppers across the globe. Lyst tracks product searches, page views, sales, and even social media buzz and engagement. With access to the largest dataset in fashion, the Lyst Index doesn’t reflect what people are searching and shopping. This season, consumer shopping patterns were fuelled not only by the latest collections and trends but also the industry-wide creative shake-ups.

After much speculation, the bomb dropped: Jonathan Anderson exited Loewe to take the reins at Dior Men’s. But before his departure, the industry — and Lyst users — rushed to honor his legacy. Searches for Loewe jumped 38%, propelling the brand to reclaim the #1 hottest brand spot, edging out Miu MiuJack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (of Proenza Schouler fame) are set to take over, but for now, the frenzy is about Anderson’s final collection. Expect the hype around #OldLoewe to grow, as shoppers scramble to archive what’s bound to become collector’s pieces.

The comeback story of the quarter? Chloé. Thanks to Chemena Kamali’s strong revival of bohemian aesthetics, the house stormed up into the Lyst Index’s top ten— a first since the ranking began. The Mini Ruffled Dress, sitting pretty at #10 among the hottest products, encapsulates Kamali’s ability to blend nostalgia with relevance. It’s proof that looking back — when done right — might just be the smartest way forward for brands caught in leadership limbo.

A high street brand has commanded a spot on Lyst’s elite Index, with COS entering the top ten hottest brands after an 11-place climb, driven by viral demand for its barrel-leg trousers (ranked #6 in hottest products) and a blockbuster runway show. A 44% spike in demand proves something big: accessibility and aspiration are no longer at odds. COS is leading the new high-low fashion paradigm.

Footwear continues to be a dominant force, but it’s not business as usual.

On has finally cracked the Lyst Index, evolving from performance gear to fashion player. Endorsements from Zendayaand Roger Federer helped, as did smart collabs with Loewe and Post Archive Faction. Searches surged 50% this quarter.

Adidas leaned into archival gold with the ‘Taekwondo’ sneaker, which is now the second hottest product. Puma, on the other hand, experimented with the ‘Speedcat Ballet’: part sneaker, part ballet flat, part trend disruptor. Searches for “ballet sneakers” soared 1300%.
