Audemars Piguet’s partnership with Tamara Ralph dates back to 2020, when the two houses debuted their collaborative timepiece as a part of the designer’s Spring/Summer 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection.Â
Fast forward to today, and the duo is back with yet another exquisite piece: a ‘Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon’ watch. The Audemars Piguet x Tamara Ralph creation is not just a timepiece but a dazzling escapade into the realm of Haute Couture.
The new ‘Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon,’ aptly named ‘Tamara Ralph Limited Edition,’ is a shimmering testament to the marriage of watchmaking and haute couture. The horological wonder is crafted in 18-carat pink gold, adorned with frosted gold. The dial boasts shades of brown, bronze, and golden tones.Â
The Audemars Piguet x Tamara Ralph watch will be unveiled on January 22, as a part of the designer’s Spring/Summer 2024 Couture show in Paris.
In a press statement, Ralph said, “My intention for the design of this piece is for it to capture the spirit and craftsmanship of both my brand as well as Audemars Piguet. The complications of watchmaking orchestrate a foundation that can be played with in terms of textures, colors, and designs, allowing for the savoir-faire of couture to shine through. Rich materials, unique color palettes, and ultimate precision are combined, creating an exquisite limited edition of the ‘Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon,’ inspired by Haute Couture.”
