Kaia Gerber may truly be the embodiment of a millennial but her latest collection with Jimmy Choo hints a ’90s-grunge inspiration.
After being the luxury footwear brand’s muse for the past three seasons, Gerber has taken control over the designs of her latest collaboration with Jimmy Choo.
Together with Creative Director Sandra Choi, the pair have reimagined some of Jimmy Choo’s iconic styles and released a capsule collection that will see you putting your best foot forward.
Echoing a strong ’90s grunge aesthetic, the supermodel offspring looked to precision and sharpness for her first collaborative collection and adopted her effortless Californian vibe to the wardrobe staples.
The capsule includes two kitten heels — the python-print K-Slingback pump and leather K-Slide sandal — and two boots, the K-Jesse suede Western boot and the K-Cruz snake-print combat.
“I jumped at the chance to work with Sandra on my dream capsule of shoe and boot styles, it was such an honour to be able to brainstorm creatively and I am so thrilled with the result,” Gerber stated in a release.
Also, 15% of all sales from the Jimmy Choo x Kaia Gerber capsule collection will be donated to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “St Jude is a charity that has always been closely connected to my family,” said Gerber. “From the outset I wanted this collaboration to have a charitable element and I am so grateful that together with Jimmy Choo we can support this incredible organisation.”
