Emirati designer Shatha Essa launches a new collection for her eponymous label

Just in time for the Spring/Summer '18 season...
A new Emirati label has just popped up on our radar and its newest collection will perfectly resonate with the region. Here's why...

Here at Buro HQ, we love nothing more than seeing regional labels release beautiful collections, especially those that cater to the Middle East

If there’s a (fairly) new name to know right now, it’s Shatha Essa. Already available on Ounass.com and in Symphony, Harvey Nichols Dubai and at Bloomingdale’s Dubai and Kuwait, the brand’s designer is proving herself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Essa’s eponymous label truly embodies a Middle Eastern aesthetic and marries rich textiles and materials with local culture and traditions. For her newest Spring/Summer ’18 collection, the designer created ensembles that are perfect for Ramadan this year.

Drawing influence from vibrant gardens, fluttering birds and the rays of sunlight, a colour palette of bright hues and neutrals has been printed on abayas (which act as Shatha’s canvas’ every season), complete with intricate embellishments, refined detailing and glistening sequins.
