As a part of his new role at the French Maison, the Formula 1 legend has dreamed up an exclusive sneaker collection that merges high fashion with sport-inspired design. This collaboration introduces two styles: the ‘Snow Sneaker,’ which channels the rugged aesthetics of mountain boots, and the ‘B44 Blade LH,’ named after Hamilton’s car number and initials.
While not designed for the racetrack, these sneakers reflect a unique blend of athleticism and luxury. Though the release details are still under wraps, for now, the detailed images of these sneakers offer a glimpse into how Hamilton’s upcoming sneaker range for Dior.
ISABEL MARANT X CONVERSE
Isabel Marant and Converse have joined forces to deliver a fresh twist on the classic ‘Chuck 70,’ blending Marant’s signature style with the iconic sneaker. This collaboration introduces the ‘Chuck 70 Wedge,’ a nod to Marant’s influential sneaker wedge trend from the 2010s, and reimagines both the ‘Chuck 70 Hi Top’ and ‘Chuck 70 Ox Low Top.’ Each piece maintains the classic ‘Chuck’ details while infusing Marant’s touch of nonconformist nostalgia.
The collection, available in sleek black and white colorways, showcases a frayed Jacquard upper with Marant’s logo prominently displayed. A playful hint of multi-color accents on the shoelaces adds a fun touch. The entire range is now available to shop on Isabel Marant’s website, in-store, and through Converse’s online store and select locations.
LORO PIANA X NEW BALANCE
The sneaker world just got a taste of unmatched luxury with the Loro Piana x New Balance ‘990v6,’ which launched earlier this month. This collaboration marries Italian sophistication with American design, creating a sneaker that’s both elegant and practical.. Priced at $1,500 (AED 5900), the ‘990v6’ is far from an ordinary trainer.
Crafted from soft grey nubuck, the sneaker showcases Loro Piana’s commitment to superior materials, featuring their signature undyed Pecora Nera wool. The addition of tonal mesh panels enhances both breathability and elegance, while subtle burgundy accents on the tongue and heel provide a refined contrast. With only 1,000 pairs available, the Loro Piana x New Balance ‘990v6’ is a rare gem in the sneaker realm.
NIGO X NIKE
After months of cryptic hints and speculation, last month, Nigo finally lifted the curtain on his highly anticipated collaboration with Nike. The Japanese streetwear icon has been teasing this partnership subtly, sporting Nike gear that hinted at something big. In August, Nigo finally revealed details about the collaboration via a retro-style poster on Instagram, confirming the Nigo x Nike ‘Air Force 3,’ sneakers.
The official imagery of the Air Force 3 reveals more than just a striking shoe. The packaging is equally fascinating, adorned with gold-filled cracks inspired by the Japanese art of kintsug. The collection draws on diverse influences, from movies and music to traditional crafts, weaving them into the sneakers and their presentation. Although the full details are still a mystery, this collaboration is set to drop in 2024 and is undoubtedly one we can’t wait to get our hands–or should we say feet–on.
