I dress the same way I make music, it is very instinctive for me. My sense of fashion always evolves in parallel with my sound, always a reflection of who I am in that moment, always an expression. Fashion is another outlet for storytelling, it reflects my mood and sometimes helps me embody a certain persona. It’s armor and expression at the same time. The Gucci Holiday collection allowed me to exaggerate that energy: strong silhouettes, bold details, nothing apologetic about them. Walking into a room wearing those pieces speaks presence without having to say a word.

I had the best time playing with the glam and wigs, I love stepping into new characters, and moods. It’s all part of my creative language and this shoot felt like a subtle tease to some roles I will be playing in the next year (wink wink)
EVERYONE HAS THAT ONE GUILTY PLEASURE OR OBSESSION. WHAT’S YOURS, SONG, SNACK, OR SECRET HOBBY?
I’m obsessed with systemizing my creative process and cracking it like a puzzle, it starts with a little brainstorm of lyrics, references, colors, sounds, an accessory, literally anything that inspires me and then I put them all in a board in front of me and I live around it until I crack it and it becomes super clear how they are all connected. All the while classical music is on repeat like a psycho, even at the gym!
MUSIC IS SUCH A PERSONAL EXPRESSION. WHICH MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE SHAPED THE ARTIST YOU ARE TODAY THE MOST?
I’ve been creatively expressing myself and creating worlds for as long as I can remember but I would say a huge turning point was when I took control of my craft and developed skills like music production and directing to be able to bring my ideas to life. It helped me experiment in a safe space for as long as I needed to truly develop myself as an artist. I have embraced my complexities and I’m able to create from the most authentic version of myself in every era.
WHAT’S A LITTLE-KNOWN FACT ABOUT YOU THAT WOULD SURPRISE YOUR FANS, SOMETHING THEY’D NEVER GUESS FROM YOUR SONGS?
How much of an introvert I actually am. I crave isolation and need to exist in my little world. With my intense job, lifestyle and the over exposure to noise, the contrast of silence is very important to me. I need solitude to create, to process everything I go through and translate it.
WHAT IS LACKING IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY NOWADAYS IN YOUR OPINION? WHAT ABOUT THE FASHION INDUSTRY?
I believe we need more play, more spontaneity, more breaking of formulas, more embracing our authentic self and being less afraid of being “cringe.” When did trying and caring about the craft become lame? Have the courage to care, be obsessed with your ideas and embrace the cringe. Free yourself; it’s how space is created for authentic creativity to start flowing.
HOW DOES GUCCI INSPIRE YOU?
Gucci isn’t afraid of contradiction. It’s heritage and rebellion at the same time. That freedom to be elegant, loud, nostalgic and futuristic all at once. It shows that fashion can tell a story, create a world and allow you to fully embody yourself.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE NEW YEAR, WHAT PERSONAL GOAL OR DREAM EXCITES YOU THE MOST, AND HOW DO YOU SEE STYLE AND MUSIC PLAYING A PART IN IT?
This past year has been the biggest year of my career, and as it comes to a close, so does a huge chapter in my life. The past 5 years of my personal growth, making the Villain Bala Cause Album, putting it out and touring it. I’m entering a whole new chapter in the new year, a fresh sound and a whole visual universe with it. I’m really excited to share where my life is going and the changes that are coming in my career. Last year was for learning and growth and the next year will be the year of bloom and manifestation.
LOOKING AHEAD, WHAT’S ONE PERSONAL DREAM OR CHALLENGE YOU WANT TO TACKLE THIS YEAR, OUTSIDE OF MUSIC?
This year has taught me that my life and creative output directly mirrors my inner state. By focusing on healing and shedding what no longer serves me, I’ve been able to tap into inspirations and open doors I couldn’t have imagined. Every move and every choice is now incredibly intentional. Challenging myself and my limiting beliefs will continue to be a key priority for me.
