The athlete–who skipped the PSG’s final league game to attend the 2024 Cannes Film Festival–is in the spotlight yet again, this time for a totally unexpected reason.
A video of the French football player in Cannes has been making waves online. During his luxurious trip to Cannes, Mbappé was spotted at the La Guerite restaurant engaged in a deep conversation with his PSG teammate Ousmane Dembele. However, their conversation was interrupted when a woman waving the Netherlands flag approached their table. In the video, it’s clear that she left Mbappé speechless as he couldn’t take his eyes off her, momentarily breaking his conversation with Dembele.
Mbappé’s fans wasted no time in identifying the mystery woman whose Instagram following skyrocketed from a mere seven hundred to one hundred and sixty-five thousand after the viral video.
The viral video has, since, generated tremendous online chatter, with fans specualting the reason for Mbappé’s momentarily fascination with the women? Theories range from love at first sight to the possibility that she was waving the wrong flag – the Dutch flag instead of the French one.
