VALENTINO SCRAPS MENSWEAR RUNWAY SHOWS
Alessandro Michelle is set to make his highly-anticipated debut at Valentino on September 29. Under Michele’s creative leadership, the Italian Maison will scale back its runway shows to two co-ed ready-to-wear shows on the Paris womenswear calendar and a single couture show per year in place of two.
CHANEL TO MAKE A GRAND RETURN TO GRAND PALAIS
After a four-year hiatus due to ongoing renovations, the Chanel runway is returning to its iconic Parisian venue: the Grand Palais. During Karl Lagerfeld‘s era, the Grand Palais played host to some of the most spectacular shows, and now Chanel is set to make its return on October 1. The French fashion house has reportedly committed to contributing 30 million euros over the next five years to the venue in exchange for exclusive rights to host runway shows.
