Let’s be honest, at some point, we’ve all imagined ourselves behind the decks. Maybe it was at a festival, a beach party, or even just in our living room with friends. The allure of dropping the perfect track, blending beats seamlessly, and feeling a crowd move to your rhythm is irresistible. But how do you actually turn that daydream into a skill? That’s where Sunday Spins comes in.
Every Sunday evening, HIVE in JVC transforms into a creative hub for aspiring DJs, music lovers, and modern creatives. Over four weeks, this workshop takes you from bedroom beat-curious to booth-ready. Think 2.5 to 3 hours of hands-on training, insider guidance, and community-driven learning—culminating in your very first recorded DJ set.
The mastermind behind it is Beirut-born, Dubai-based DJ KLO. Known for her soulful-meets-electronic sound and a client list that includes Prada, Chanel, Valentino, and Bentley, she brings both artistry and industry experience. With roots in violin, studies in sound engineering, and years spent perfecting her craft, KLO has built Sunday Spins as a safe space to learn, experiment, and grow.
Each week unlocks a new layer of the DJ world: mixing techniques, RekordBox mastery, playlist building, social media branding, and navigating the club scene. To top it off, KLO has invited some of Dubai’s leading music insiders to share their wisdom, Patch, Berta (Beatport’s MENA Director), Ronin, Shadi Megallaa (Flip Side record store), and Megatronic, all of whom shape the region’s nightlife and electronic music culture.
The grand finale? The Living Room Session. Students perform their own recorded sets in HIVE’s main room, reimagined as a cozy living-room-style venue. To keep the beats flowing, an “Open Decks” segment welcomes HIVE residents to jump on, connect, and create magic together.
So, if you’ve ever pictured yourself commanding the decks, here’s your chance. This isn’t just a workshop, it’s where Dubai’s next wave of DJs find their sound.
