Sole DXB is the heartbeat of contemporary culture in Dubai. Since its inception, this event has grown into a cultural powerhouse, blending music, fashion, art, and community like no other. Now in its 12th year, the 2024 edition is shaping up to be its most ambitious yet, with a killer lineup that’s set to leave an indelible mark on the city.
This year, Sole DXB ups the ante by bringing three Grammy-winning heavyweights to Dubai’s stage for the first time. James Blake, Tems, and The Roots are all making their UAE debut at Sole DXB 2024. Kicking off the weekend on Friday, December 13, is British electronic artist James Blake, a visionary who has shaped the sound of modern music through his solo work and collaborations with the likes of Frank Ocean, Beyoncé, and Kendrick Lamar. Saturday, December 14, will see Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Tems take the stage, delivering her signature blend of soulful R&B and pop, fresh off her debut album Born in the Wild. Closing the festival on Sunday, December 15, is the legendary hip-hop group The Roots, revered for their Grammy-winning discography and explosive live performances, known for blending hip-hop with jazz, soul, and funk like no other band.
But it’s not just about the headliners—Sole DXB is the full package. Alongside the live performances, this year’s festival promises extended hours (we’re talking 3 PM to 2 AM), a second stage, and a diverse array of activities that celebrate fashion, art, and design. Whether you’re here to check out the latest in streetwear, catch a creative talk, or just soak up the eclectic energy, Sole has something for everyone.
If you think the fun starts and ends on the festival grounds, think again. Sole DXB ‘Off Circuit’ returns for its second year, rolling out weeklong cultural activities all across Dubai leading up to the main event. Expect exclusive pop-ups, intimate performances, and interactive experiences that stretch the festival spirit beyond the weekend.
