MDLBEAST is rewriting the festival playbook, and this time, they’re taking us straight into the stories of One Thousand and One Nights, one beat drop at a time.

MDLBEAST doesn’t do quiet launches. When they roll out something new, it’s loud, it’s layered, and it shifts the conversation. Their latest? 1001 Festival, a two-day music event landing in Riyadh this April that promises to blur the lines between fantasy and festival culture. Inspired by One Thousand and One Nights, the event is building an entire environment around it, with custom-built stages, world-class production, and a lineup that signals serious intent.

Picture a weekend of booming beats, sweeping desert backdrops, and visual storytelling that pays homage to some of the most iconic tales ever told. That’s precisely what MDLBeast has in store for 2025, with its debut festival, 1001, set for April 24 and 25 at the UG Complex in Binban, Riyadh. From the moment you enter, you’ll find yourself surrounded by five original stages—each influenced by One Thousand and One Nights—in a fusion of music, fantasy, and local heritage that sets a new standard for how the Gulf celebrates culture and sound.

The lineup? Heavy. MDLBEAST has brought in a global roster that doesn’t play it safe: Eric PrydzARTBATDJ Snake, and Hot Since 82 lead the charge, backed by a curated blend of international and regional talent that spans deep house, techno, and high-octane festival anthems.

What sets 1001 apart is the ambition behind it. Each stage has been designed not only for scale but also for storytelling. It’s five environments built to immerse you in a different myth. Each is layered with art direction, lighting, and audio design that hits you from all angles. It’s theatre, beats, and the future all in one dreamy space.

Speaking of the space, let’s not forget the location. The UG Complex, a new venue built for next-level production, is already being whispered about as the next big thing in Saudi’s live entertainment scene. 1001 will be the first time we see it in full swing under the stars, in the desert, surrounded by a crowd that’s as international as it is local.
