Are you brave enough to try this bold manicure trend?

What exactly is water droplet nail art. Discover the manicure style below.

Florence Pugh has never been the one to shy away from audacious beauty trends. Her daring pixie cut has already inspired many to snip their locks. Now, the actress’ latest manicure that she wore to the 2024 Oscar Awards has sparked a new trend. Pugh walked the 2024 Oscars red carpet in a silver corset dress by Delcore that was sprinkled with crystals reminiscent of dew drops. The actress opted for a matching manicure for the occasion, featuring what appeared to be 3D water droplets.

Nail artist Dawn Sterling was the creative genius behind the design that has since spiked interest in water droplet nail art. In a medium-length almond shape, all nails shared a uniform style, featuring variations of raindrop designs. Mirroring the color and texture of the gown, Pugh’s nails began with a base coat of semi-transparent, glossy white. Over this base, clear circular dewdrops adorned each nail from the bottom to the tip, with slight variations in placement on each finger.

There are no rules when it comes to water droplet nail art. You can opt for a solid-colored based, a french tip, a colored-french tip or if you’re feeling really daring, you can even go for a chrome base. You also get to pick the density of water per nail or you can even skip a nail and ask your manicurist to garnish alternate fingers with the design. Flex your creative muscles to custmize the water droplet nail art trend to your preference.
