When Dyson launched the Supersonic hairdryer back in 2016, it made waves in the beauty industry for its ingenuity. Ultra-light and yet not deprived of any key features needed to ensure a perfect blowdry (in fact, it was actually packed with technology that helped to smooth hair and protect against heat damage), it promptly gained pride of place in women’s bathrooms globally and the brand’s newest launch looks like it’s going to do the same.
Overnight, the brand unveiled the Airwrap, a revolutionary new hair styler that uses jets of precisely heated and regulated air (the styler measures its own temperature up to 40 times a second) to create waves, curls and more. According to the brand, the Airwrap “uses high pressure, high velocity air that follows a curved surface to create the Coanda effect to attract, wrap and set curls.” It works by first drying hair to the optimal curling level, that is not wet but also not entirely dry either, and then self-twirls hair onto the barrel leaving you to simply hold it in place whilst it works its magic. It also works on dry hair, too.
The product (which is available in the UAE today in the Dyson store at The Dubai Mall) has been in the making for six years and comes with five different attachments that deliver different results depending on your preferred look. It is powered by the Dyson Digital motor V9, which spins at up to 110,000 RPM and works on every hair type.
Honestly just take our money now Dyson.
