Grasse has always been at the centre of French perfumery and for maison Dior, they’ve been closely intertwined for decades. The flowers that blossom have always been important for Dior and they’re reserved exclusively for its exceptional range of fragrances.
Every year, at the beginning of the beautiful French summer (May and June), Dior’s fragrant flower producers get ready for the harvesting process with their special know-how in tow (techniques that have been passed down for generations).
The flowers used in some of our favourite fragrances are then transferred for extraction, where they meet Dior’s perfumer-creator, François Demachy in the perfume lab in Grasse and Callian.
