For UAE National Day, Yasmin Al Mulla revealed a collection dear to heart – one that was in collaboration with Maison Christian Dior. The limited-edition box and chocolate delicacy inspired by the Maison’s signature scents seemed to have performed extremely well and have yet again, joined forces – this time, to celebrate the Middle East. The entrepreneur was tapped to share her aesthetics by designing a regional exclusive “Midkhan”, inspired by the newly launched Tobacolor fragrance.
Speaking about the partnership, the Emirati designer explained the result to be an homage to her heritage. “A tribute to my society, inspired by my community, by the sense of belonging, and the power of interconnectedness.” She then continues to explain the inspiration behind the limited edition piece, “[it is] a reflection on the legacy of the Midkhan translated into an artistic design, inspired by the signature notes in Maison Christian Dior’s Tobacolor scent — a fragrance flavoured with colourful spices, a honey joyful accord, and powerfully Amber base.”
“This is a deeply cherished creation, designed with love, and influenced by the brimful society with its diverse branches, the beauty of its all-encompassing effect, its roots, and the navigation of its parts. From my country to my community… This is for each of you,” concludes Al Mulla.
