How did the Hot Wheels x B-Hype collaboration come about?

This collaboration started from a place of mutual respect. Hot Wheels is an iconic brand that represents speed, creativity, and rebellion — values that naturally align with B-Hype’s DNA. As a homegrown label, we have always looked to work with partners that share our energy and vision — not just creatively, but culturally. We saw an opportunity to fuse our streetwear edge with their legendary legacy. It was about crafting a drop that felt both nostalgic and disruptive. It was less about business and more about storytelling: taking something nostalgic and giving it a raw, fashion-forward edge.

You’ve described this drop as “childhood passion meets streetwear rebellion.” How did you channel your memories of Hot Wheels into the design DNA of the collection?

Hot Wheels was a huge part of my childhood — not just the cars, but the worlds we created around them. That sense of speed, color, chaos, and imagination stuck with me. For the collection, we tapped into that adrenaline and clashed it with gritty textures, bold graphics, and oversized silhouettes. It is a visual remix of my childhood, reinterpreted through the attitude of B-Hype.

Hot Wheels is known for adrenaline, imagination, and design. How did you translate those values into wearable street fashion?

We approached the collection like a racetrack with high energy and no rules. Adrenaline came through in the cuts: aggressive shapes, racing details, and speed-inspired graphics. Imagination lived in the color palette and the way we layered elements — flames, chrome, decals. And design? That’s where B-Hype shines. We brought craftsmanship to chaos, turning fantasy into fashion.

Which piece in the collection feels the most personal to you, and why?

The racing jacket. It’s a direct throwback to the Hot Wheels tracks I used to build as a kid — loud, fast, and unapologetic. But we reimagined it with a grown-up attitude: technical fabrics, embroidered patches, and a tailored street fit. To me, it symbolizes the collision of past and present, and that’s what the collection is all about. It’s nostalgia on overdrive, and it hits closest to home.

How did you stay true to B-Hype’s DNA while working with a global icon like Hot Wheels?

B-Hype has always been about rebellion and self-expression, so even when working with a massive name like Hot Wheels, we kept our voice loud and clear. We didn’t water it down. We leaned into chaos, took risks with the designs, and made sure the collection felt authentic to both brands. It is about honoring legacy without compromising identity.

What’s your vision for B-Hype?

To keep pushing boundaries. B-Hype is about more than clothes. It is a movement rooted in attitude, culture, and fearless creativity. We want to keep disrupting the space, collaborating with unexpected partners, and staying true to our community. Collaborating with Hot Wheels showcased just how much impact we can have when we merge passion with purpose, and it’s only the beginning.
