Givenchy’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection is one infused with an instinct for chic nonchalance. Matthew M. Williams looked at Givenchy’s grunge heritage of graphic tees and embraced it to the fullest by treating everyday items with a luxe approach. An exploration of practicality and power, the collection features eye-catching silhouettes that were either tailored or layered with hand-embroidered detailing and a sporty aesthetic that allows for wearable sensibility.
In addition to the distressed denim, graphic tees, jersey pieces and the interplay between multiple American and Parisian influences, rounding up the collection is the introduction of the TK 360 sneaker, which adds to Givenchy’s coveted footwear line-up. The mix of luxury and utility is seen in a shoe that is expressed in a fully knitted form, complete with graphic lines that lens a sporty feel.
