During the current pandemic, it seems like banana bread is having a moment. Just about every single person living in lockdown has turned their attention to the kitchen to learn new recipes and whip up a few cakes, and it seems though as if celebrities too, are in the quarantine cooking mood.
So much so that Selena Gomez is adding to her many list of talents and is bringing a quarantine cooking show to HBO this summer.
That’s right. The multi-hyphenated will not only be starring in the series but will produce 10 episodes of “unapologetically authentic” cooking making delicious meals while stuck at home in self-isolation.
According to Variety, each episode is set to be different. “Gomez will be joined remotely by a different master chef, who will share tips and tricks, helping her deal with everything from smoking ovens to missing ingredients. A different food-related charity will also be highlighted every episode.”
“I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food. I think I’ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I’ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef,” Gomez said in a statement. “I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”
The series is still untitled and whilst no further details have been shared, make sure to watch this space.
