Head-swiveling makeup looks were all over Instagram feeds this morning as the American Music Awards brought more than just good music. We’re talking slick wet locks, rhinestone-detailed hairlines, and bleached blonde brows — the works.
Yes, stars hit all the right beauty high notes and then some, giving us one jaw-dropping look after the other that really glowed on the red carpet.
Eschewing waist-grazing waves was Selena Gomez, who showed off a new ’90s-inspired bob that’ll have fans running off to chop their locks before the week’s end. Another hair-turner was Katherine Langford; the 13 Reasons Why star looked almost celestial with a hairline that was dripping in tiny, metallic gold studs. She took her statement-making look one step further with saturated lids in fire red eyeshadow that played off her equally striking crimson Rodarte tulle dress.
Finally, Kesha gave us #SlickHairGoals with glossy, tousled waves that evoked a “just stepped out of the shower” natural look. She added a rock ‘n’ roll vibe with a dewy fringe that’ll be trending for months to come.
On the makeup front, songstress Lizzo turned up the volume with 80s’ glam highlighter orange eyes, while Dua Lipa embodied the ultimate glamour puss, going the au naturel route in chic, barley-there makeup.
Naturally, Halsey shut down the red carpet once again, this time with cotton-candy-hued lids, bleached brows, and red-toned hair, proving that makeup can and should be fun.
