In 2015, Adidas announced its partnership with famous British fashion designer Stella McCartney and each new collection since has been a success. McCartney is famed her use of vegetarian leather in her own designs and now, she’s bringing the fabric over to Adidas for her newest collection.
Stella has designed the first ever vegetarian leather Stan Smith sneakers for the F/W ’18 season, available for both men and women. The designer has also tweaked the shoe’s iconic design, namely through her own portrait appearing on the left tongue whilst Stan Smith remains on the right. The brand’s signature three stripes have been replaced by rows of stars, and the back of the heel is finished with Stella’s own logo above a burgundy and navy blue stripe detail for added impact.
