Sportswear dominated the fashion scene in the ’90s and it seems that 2018 has been the year of its resurgence.
Internationally-renowned designers including Off-White’s Virgil Abloh, who is known for releasing coveted sportswear pieces, as well as regional names such as Sandra Mansour, who released a football-inspired capsule for the Buro 24/7 x Farfetch initiative, are putting luxury sportswear back on the map.
Now, the latest brand to shift their focus to the trend is Prada. Long known for its use of its signature fabric, black nylon, in almost all of its ready-to-wear pieces, handbags and accessories, the brand has just relaunched the Prada Linea Rossa collection, which first debuted in 1997.
This new collection made its first appearance on the Fall/Winter ’18 runway show during Milan Fashion Week and comes complete with ready-to-wear, outerwear, footwear and pieces made for specific outdoor activities — all complete with the iconic red Prada Linea Rossa emblem.
Made with exclusive, technical materials that are innovative and forward-thinking, the pieces are available for both men and women. The best news, however, is that the line is exclusively available in brand’s flagship store in The Dubai Mall from today.
