This week on #HotSauceHOTBOSS, BURO teams up once again with TABASCO® Brand, and things are about to get juicy. Literally. Our guest is none other than Chef Halawa, the maestro who believes fruits and savory dishes are soulmates (pineapple-on-pizza haters, look away). He arrived ready for flavor experiments, taste tests, trivia battles, and a few burning surprises.
Let’s just say: the sauce wasn’t the only thing getting tested.
Chef Halawa is known for pushing boundaries, especially when it comes to mixing fruits with savory dishes. Watermelon with feta? Peach-glazed chicken? Mango with chili? He’s done it all. So what happens when you add TABASCO® Sauce into that equation?

Then came the trivia, a rapid-fire round where we tested just how well Chef Halawa really knows his TABASCO® Sauces. Could he name the three main ingredients in the TABASCO® Sauce (peppers, vinegar, salt)? Would he correctly guess which flavor is the spiciest (hint: TABASCO® Scorpion Sauce)? And could he figure out which world-famous theme park once served TABASCO® Sauce-flavored popcorn? Watching him think, panic, guess, and laugh through each question was a highlight on its own.

Between all the sauce tests and spicy guesses, Chef Halawa shared how his culinary journey began.
