A standout example is AARON, developed by Harold Cohen in the late 1960s at the University of California, San Diego. AARON used a rule-based approach to generate images, starting with simple black and white sketches and later progressing to painting. Cohen designed AARON to make its own choices in painting, using special brushes and dyes. AARON’s debut at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 1972 marked a significant milestone in the history of AI art, showcasing the fusion of human creativity with machine intelligence.

In my quest for innovation, I stumbled upon a gem: ‘The Sashanomist,’ a rising star in the world of AI from the vibrant Arab landscape. This mysterious Lebanese photographer, known simply as ‘The Sashanomist,’ has been crafting her visual wonders using a unique blend of Midjourney and Photoshop.
Step into the world of ‘Sashanomist’ where pixels dance and imagination reigns supreme. Through her lens, she mixes together technology and artistry in an eclectic and inspiring fashion harmony. When asked about her career and journey she replied: ‘My journey into the world of AI is driven by a profound concern lingering in my mind, that this technology is going to jeopardise a lot of people, especially from the creative field . Currently, the capability to seamlessly generate images featuring specific outfits or settings remains beyond our reach. However, as technological innovations continue to evolve, I anticipate a future where this becomes not just possible, but routine…. my motivation to explore AI in photography stems not only from a desire to innovate but also from a sense of responsibility. I am driven to understand and adapt to the changing dynamics of my industry, ensuring that I am equipped to thrive in an era where technology reshapes the very fabric of our craft, But I guess we are going there and once this happens, I mean when this becomes technically possible, I fear a big volume of photo productions won’t happen anymore.’
